1. Friday, July 17, 7:00PM: Covenant/Antithesis
These two realities are revealed so that our lives might be governed by their terms. Sadly, Americanity has successfully removed these terms from our vocabularies, not to mention our lives. Let's get them back and experience how they'll get us to move into the groove. This is the single step to begin your Covenant life journey, in one easy lesson.
2. Saturday, July 18, 10:00AM: Perpetuating Covenant
The family is the fundamental, covenantal institution. It is where the rubber of "the One and the Many" meets the road of real life. The family is our first school and our first church (whether faithful or apostate). We must learn that contemporary perversions of marriage are God's "Amen" to our hatred of His Law. It's time for Psalm 50:16-22 and Isaiah 57:1-13. The judgment is not just coming. It is very much here.
3. Saturday, July 18, 12:30PM: Living Covenant
There is a presupposition in Israel's calendar which remains hidden to the eyes o f Americanity's adherents. It is this governing belief which, more than any other identifiable factor, has preserved the Jews as an identifiable people--the Jews!, who for two thousand years were without a homeland. No people on earth has come near to such an achievement. Don't you think we ought to humbly learn from the Jews the lesson that can save our heritage (which we inherited from them)? The time, very truly, is very short.
4. Sunday, July 19, 9:30AM: Reading Covenant
A recipe does you no good if you cannot read it¡ªunless you've memorized it. But the Bible won't do you much good at all, and could do great harm, even if you've memorized it¡ªunless you understand it. Is it possible to learn how to read the Bible like it really belongs to you? Yes. You need only become aware how to avoid a few lethal missteps. Oh, yes¡ªand how to read it correctly.
5. Sunday, July 19, 10:45AM: Covenant Saturation
"Every area of life," "every sphere," "every discipline"--blah, blah, blah. We've succeeded in turning one of the most important legacies of the Reformation into a hackneyed, offensive clich¨¦. That's what inevitably happens when truths are left exposed to the air too long. They are meant to be lived, not merely learned. Let's get uncomfortable together.
Registration Fee: $0.00 (we want to eliminate excuses)
Saturday Lunch Fee: $0.00 (because we like to feed people)
Housing: If you register early enough we'll try to find a home for you to stay in, preferrably on a bed. For those of you who like tents, bring one. Hotel information available soon.
