In recent weeks, the tragic case of Terri Schiavo has dominated television newscasts and newspaper headlines. Added to this has been a flurry of activity on Christian and right-to-life e-mail alert lists and websites. The call has sounded from just about every corner of the conservative spectrum to spare Mrs. Schiavo’s life. In a highly charged, politically motivated vote, the Florida legislature decided to do just that.
